In succession from garden to carefree perennials
Small landholders applying biointensive methods have the ability to grow ten times and higher more healthy food than any agricultural enterprise per area. Diversity being another strategy supplying all of a human’s nutrition requirements with smart design.
Overtime a strategy of succession transitioning from annual to perennial crops can be utilized in an continuing pattern of adding diversity. Here is one such 15 Square foot area on my backyard named Main Crop Garden #4.
Notice the larger bushes to the sides that were planted years ago to start the succession, the idea being the center beds planted to annuals to continue production while these bushes were establishing themselves. In this case, production of these bushes started last year and now I can obtain a yield from these bushes while I establish the center beds with perennials.
The first years of this garden area experienced tremendous production from annuals. Main crop garden #4 five years ago.
Converting lawn grass to a garden is starting from scratch. I employ an aerobic composting method on the grass which prepares the soil for a garden. The bacterial action in this compost eats the sod roots and all, all of the stored weed seeds in the soil bank, and converts them to nutrients to feed soil life in the garden.
Natural healthy nutrient dense food can only be grown being fed by soil life. Start a natural garden now and become healthy again and avoid standing in soup lines eating who knows what!
Make humans healthy again (MHHA)!
Earliest video of this area 8 or 9 years ago receiving the aerobic compost method to prepare the area for take off.
I’ll do more articles with links to making this compost in the near future, thanks for reading the article and watching the videos.
Haskaps (honey berries)
I'm really for this idea, but... How do I keep the chem trails (and whatever else they're spewing on us) off my garden?
